This past weekend the Desert Assassins were racing the Battle at Primm desert race and although the Trophy Truck had some issues on the functions testing we were doing it was still a great time. There were 400 entries and lots of desert peeps everywhere and our team did end up winning the Overall victory on the weekend in our class 1 car driven by Josh Daniel.

Here’s the TT at work…

Heidi ran a great race for the team with a 3rd place finish out of 15 trucks in the unlimited mid-sized truck class. Later in the two day race PAB wheeled Heidi’s truck with her riding shotgun in the “unclassified” truck race where trucks need only to have a steel cab and doors. We ran her V-6 engine against unlimited V-8s and finished 3rd out of 76 starters, lots of passing with 76 trucks on a 12 mile loop! Camburg and FOX suspension were EPIC!

Short course legend Johnny Greaves made the trip out with his brand new unlimited class buggy and although neither of us had a great day when racing we did both qualify well and after Johnny’s car was dead he went for a 24 mile Trophy Truck ride with me. Pretty sure this off-road thing is just growing and it’s very cool to set the hook on another new player!

This was classic….during The ReadyLift Qualifying session Friday this blue class one car (unlimited buggy) cleaned out the scoring tower in a full sideways slide….I proceeded to give them the thumbs up for their style! We qualified 1st in the trucks and 3rd overall out of 36, our DA class 1 car driven by Josh Daniels claimed the ReadyLift Qualifying.
