Desert Assassins driver, Heidi Steele, finished in fifth place (class 6) at the SCORE Baja 1000 held in Ensenada, Mexico November 17-20. That placement provided enough points to cap-off her consistent success this season with her fourth series class championship. The good news kept flowing for the DA family as after the race Heidi and racer husband, Cameron, also announced that they are expecting a baby girl in early 2012. Competing in Mexico has been extremely good for Yokohama Tire Corporation-sponsored off-road racer Heidi Steele. This year alone, she’s won the San Felipe 250 in March and was third in the Baja 500. Steele can add to her Mexico mastery and pad her lead in SCOREs Class 6 with a win in the Tecate SCORE San Felipe Challenge of Champions, September 9-11, in San Felipe, Baja, California, Mexico.
